Want the benefits of a green smoothie but gag at the thought of drinking kale? Have trouble chugging down parsley? Here's a delicious cleansing, immune-boosting and nutritious smoothie that can help ease you in to drinking green.

Ingredients:

  • 1 navel orange
  • half a green apple (I leave the skin on)
  • 1 large handful of baby spinach
  • an inch to an inch and a half of raw ginger (peeled)
  • a few ice cubes

The color might be grassy, but this drink tastes sweet! It has iron, fiber, vitamin C, anti-inflammatory properties, and ginger is a natural nausea suppressant. This smoothie feels great in the morning as a refreshing start to the day, or as a supplement if you're feeling under the weather.
